We're a Colorado Springs-based drain and sewer crew. Drains, sewers, and excavation across every quadrant of the city — same-day in most cases, 24/7 when it can't wait.
Drain Plumber Pro is headquartered in Colorado Springs, and that changes how the work goes. When you call, you reach people who know the difference between a 1950s cast-iron lateral in Patty Jewett and a twelve-year-old PVC run in Cordera. We don't route your call to a national call center that books a window three days out — we tell you when a truck can be there, and it's usually today.
Sewers and drains are the entire business. We're not a general plumbing outfit that also snakes drains between water heater installs. That focus is why our trucks carry cameras, locators, sectional and drum machines, and jetting equipment on every call instead of one cable and a hope.

We work the whole city and the unincorporated areas around it: downtown and the Old North End, Patty Jewett, Knob Hill, the Westside and Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs, Skyway and the Broadmoor, Ivywild, Stratton Meadows, Fountain Valley and Security-Widefield, Cheyenne Meadows, Rockrimmon, Pleasant Valley, Garden of the Gods corridor, University Park, Briargate, Cordera, Wolf Ranch, Flying Horse, Falcon, Cimarron Hills, Stetson Hills, Springs Ranch, and the Powers corridor businesses from North Carefree up to Woodmen.
We're centered in Colorado Springs and run roughly 35 miles out in every direction. If you're inside this map, you're in our coverage — see the full service area map for every city, neighborhood, and ZIP code we cover.

The mature cottonwoods, elms, and silver maples that make the Old North End and the Westside beautiful are also relentless about finding water. Clay laterals with mortared joints leak just enough vapor to attract them, and once a hair root gets into a joint it becomes a rope. Cabling knocks roots back; jetting with a root nozzle cuts them to the wall and flushes them out. A camera pass afterward tells you whether the pipe is still sound or whether a spot repair is coming.
Colorado Springs water is on the hard side, and years of mineral deposit roughen the inside of galvanized and cast-iron drain lines. Rough pipe grabs grease and hair, so drains that used to be fine start slowing every few months. Scale doesn't respond well to a cable — it needs the scouring action of hydro jetting to come back to full diameter.
Residential kitchen lines and the city's restaurant corridors along Tejon, Nevada, and Academy all fight the same enemy. Grease cools, coats, and narrows. For businesses we set up scheduled commercial drain cleaning so it never becomes a Friday-night shutdown.
Front Range clay soils swell and shrink with moisture. Over decades that movement pulls joints apart and creates low spots where waste settles instead of flowing. You can clear a belly a dozen times and it will still fill again — the fix is excavation and replacement of the failed section, and we'll show you camera footage before we ever suggest digging.
Shallow laterals, uninsulated crawl-space runs, and outdoor floor drains take a beating in January. Sudden slow drainage during a cold snap often has a very different cause than the same symptom in July, and diagnosing it correctly saves you from paying for a cleaning that was never going to help.
Kitchen sinks clog from cooled grease and food solids coating the branch line; bathroom sinks clog from toothpaste, hair, and soap binding to hard-water scale. We cable the branch from the cleanout or the trap arm rather than pouring anything caustic into it, then run water at volume to be sure the whole line moves — not just the first few feet.
A shower that drains slowly but by itself is usually hair and soap within a few feet of the trap. A shower that backs up when a toilet flushes is a different problem entirely — that's the main line, and cleaning the shower drain will not fix it. Telling those two apart before anyone starts working saves you money.
If one toilet is blocked and the rest of the house drains fine, the obstruction is in the toilet or its short branch, and a closet auger clears it without pulling the fixture. "Flushable" wipes, paper towels, and toys are what we find most. If every toilet is slow, stop flushing and read what to do when every drain backs up.
Basement, garage, and utility-room floor drains sit at the lowest point in the building, so they are usually the first place a main line problem shows up — and they're also the drain nobody thinks about until it overflows. Sediment, laundry lint, and dried-out trap seals are common in Springs basements. For commercial buildings we clean floor and trench drains on a schedule so they aren't discovered during an inspection.
A backup that keeps returning is not bad luck — something in the line is holding material. Roots at a clay joint, grease and hard-water scale narrowing the pipe, or a belly where the soil settled and waste now stands. Cabling opens a channel through any of those and the line refills on a schedule. We camera the line to find out which one you actually have, then either put the line on a realistic cleaning interval or show you why a repair is the cheaper answer over five years. Background reading: why sewers keep backing up.
Roots are the number-one cause of main line failure in the older parts of Colorado Springs. Our dry climate pushes cottonwood, elm, and silver maple roots toward the only reliable moisture on the lot, and clay or cast-iron joints let them in. Cutting heads shear the mass and restore flow immediately; a root nozzle on the jetter cuts them back to the pipe wall so regrowth takes much longer. Full explanation in why Springs homes get root intrusion.
If you're just outside the city limits, we're still your local crew. We run the same trucks and the same pricing in Monument, Fountain, Peyton, Manitou Springs, Security-Widefield, Woodland Park, Larkspur, Castle Rock, and Castle Pines. See the full drain cleaning near me map of our coverage.
A main line backup pushing sewage into a basement is not a next-business-day problem. Our 24/7 emergency drain service covers all of Colorado Springs, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Shut off water use, keep people and pets away from the affected area, and call (719) 639-4137.
Whether it's one slow bathroom sink in Ivywild or every drain in a Briargate house backing up at once, we'll tell you what's wrong and what it costs to fix — before we start. Call (719) 639-4137 or ask us about scheduled maintenance for your property.

Straight answers from the crew that does the work.
For most of the city — downtown, the Westside, Briargate, Powers, Fountain Valley, Broadmoor — we can usually be on site the same day, and often within a couple of hours. Emergency calls are answered 24/7 and dispatched immediately.
A straightforward fixture or branch line clearing typically starts in the low hundreds. Main line clearing and hydro jetting cost more because they take more equipment and time. Every estimate is free and the price is firm before we start work.
Constantly. Much of the Old North End, Patty Jewett, the Westside, and the neighborhoods around downtown still have cast iron or vitrified clay laterals. We camera those lines before choosing a tool, because the wrong pressure on a deteriorated pipe creates a much bigger bill.
We handle everything from your fixtures out to the city main, which is the homeowner's responsibility. If the camera shows the problem is on the utility's side of the connection, we document it with footage so you can get it addressed without paying for work that isn't yours.
